Classes & Workshops

Childrens' Classes

1. Sunday Breakfast Club - our entry level class where the focus is on musical awareness, basic vocal technique and most of all on enjoyment . Available at Surrey Hills and Sandringham.
2. Saturday Afternoon class - held at the Prahran venue this multi age class is another of our entry level classes where the focus is on musical awareness, basic vocal technique and enjoyment.
3. Small group class (for two to four students) – suitable for students aged 6 to 12 who are ready to move forward from the entry level class where there is the ability for individual attention on vocal technique but within a social setting.
4. Individual Tuition - available at all venues
5. Children’s Holiday Program - offered during March/April and September/October School Holidays (dates same as Victorian government school holidays)
   
   
   1. 5 to 7 year old workshop (2 half days)
   2. 8 to 16 year old workshop (2 full days)
   3. 11 to 16 year old workshop (3 full days)
   4. 12 to 18 year old workshop - Songwriting (4 days)

Childrens' Weekend Workshop

1. Weekend Working with Musicians Workshop - held in a professional rehearsal room so participants can experience the real thing this workshop takes the next step for more advanced students. Senior teachers Karen Knowles and Nick Roy will lead participants through the process of singing as a musician, amending vocal delivery and dynamics according to the input and changes in musical structure offered by the small band. A great challenge suitable for participants wishing to experience the first steps of improvising with musicians and taking the next steps towards performance. Held on Saturday 19 April 2008. Be sure to book early to avoid disappointment. Suitable for students aged 10 to 18.

Adult Classes

1. Adult Group Class – both beginners and more experienced singers welcome – a social way to learn, excellent for pitch and harmony skills - led by Karen Knowles - available at Hawthorn on Thursday evenings
2. Holistic Vocal Group - available at Surrey Hills on Sundays and Hawthorn on Tuesday evenings
3. Individual Tuition - available at all venues
4. Small Group Class - suitable for 2 to 4 students - available at Sandringham and Hawthorn
